Physical Layer Options (PHYS LYR OPTS)
Interface Type (INTERFACE)
Select the connector type for the
DTE interface. The choices are
EIA-232
and
V.35

Bit Rate
Select the operating speed of the
DTE interface.
TD Clock Source (TD CLOCK SRC)
Set the clock source to internal or external.
Transmit Idle Code (TX IDLE CODE)
Enable the Express 5210 to transmit flags or all ones. When
operating the
SDLC
protocol, all
O
NES
is the recommended option.
The bit rate selections vary depending on the speed selections made for the
Network
port. Also, for rates higher than 56/64 kbps, the External DCE
card is required.
